My last blog of the semester!!!!!!mmmm...

Hello everybody!!!!! I wanto to tell you guys that you are an amazing group. I really enjoy this semester with all of you. I am going to miss you a lot, but I think that everybody has to continue studing in different things. Christina I want to thank you for all the effort that you put in every single class. You are an amazing teacher. Even though we don't know if we are going to pass the test, we all know that you help us a lot. We have to have a possitive mind that we are going to pass the placement test because we work really hard for continue in college. I wish everybody good luck and I really enjoyed the party yestesday! It was so fun! mmmmmm....

I will miss my class!!!!

I am really sad because the semester is almost over and I will miss all my classmates. I am going to miss lab. I wish that everybody can pass the test and continue on in college bacause is our maen goal right now. I wish guys we can hangout together after the test to talk about what we are going to do after the test. We have to give confidence to our self and we know that we can do it. We work really hard the whole semester and we should continue on. I will miss you guys and you too Christina. You are a wonderful teacher. Thank you for taking the time to help us to improve our English!!!!!...

Food!!!!mmmm...

One of the most difficult things that we have to do in our daily routine is to eat healthy. We always love to eat fast food that is around us. We don't think that our body needs a lot of healthy things because we need energy to do a lot of activities. we need to eat healthy things to feel better during the day. We have to eat a lot of fruits to feel better and healthy. We need to drink water too, and also we have to do a lot of exersise for us. We need to take care of our body and health...!

Back to work!!!!

I am really sad this weekend because it is going to be mothers day on Sunday, and I have to work the all day. I won't be able to pass that important day with my mom. She is upset with me, but I have to work because I have to sabe money for next year for school. I do not know what to buy her , but I told her that on tuerday we will go out to the mall and I will buy all the things that she wants. I think that we are going to the beauty salon because she wants a her cut. HAPPY MOTHE'S DAY TO ALL MY CLASSMATES... !

I have a good time!!!

I have a good time with Jhon today. I asked him about the fermented egg and he told me that he does not know nothing about it. He told me that he is going to ask his mom and that he is going to cook it for me...lol... I also asked them about why there are a lot of Spanish last name in his country? and he told me that is because the Spanish people conquer the Philippines. That is why they have a lot of spanish name in his country.

ohhh no a date!!!!

One of my friends from my work asked me on a date, and I do not know what to do because I one to go out with him. I feel a little bit nervious I do not know why. I hope that I will enjoy my date tomorrow. Probably we are going to the movies or to walk in the park. I think that one of the most difficult part for me, it was to asked to my mom and dad if i can go on the date. They said that it was ok. I still nervious and I really don't know why. I hope is going to be a good day for us.!!!

Bad day at work!!!!

I went to work today... It was a lot of people all in the store. I was not feeling good but I continue working because I need to work. Then a got a 20 minutes break. I call my mom and she told me that my dad was in the hospital because he hurts his finger working. I was really worry about my dad. I could not think in anything else then my dad. I told my manager what was happening and I told her that I was not feeling good and she let me got of the my work. I really had a bad day today... I hope everything is going to get better soon!

What part of the brain is better!!!!!!

Well for me I think that be left and right hemisphere are really important, but I think that the only that is different is that we have different abillities that we can develop in every hemisphere of the brain. It was interesting to find out what part of the brain I used. I used the right side of the brain, and I was trying to investigate what are my abilities. If you guys can help me I will be happy to know what kind of things I can do because I really want to be sure of what I am going to choose for studing is going to be the right thing for me!!!!!!...

I just want to be happy!!!

I think that one of the most important things in humans life. It is to be happy, but I think that the only way that we can be happy is to make our dreams come truth. Sometimes is really difficult to make our dreams true. We have to find a way to success in life. Our dreams are the base of our life because we can be alive if we work hard to follow what we want to do. A lot of times we are going to have problems doing those things. We have to demostrate to everybody that we can make our dreams truth!!!!!

Nervious for the placement test!!!!

Today our teacher told us that the placement test is going to be in 25 days. I am really nervious about it, but I think that I am doing a good job to prepare for the placement test. I am attending the writing center, going to the writing work shop, but I still scare for the test. I trust in me and I will do all the things that are in my hands to past the test because I really want to go to college and I want to learn more things during my life. I hope everybody will past the placemente test!!!!! and I will miss everybody at the end of the semester!

I was remember a good trip that I had two years ago to Mexico!!!

I was remember a trip that I had with my aunt two years ago to Mexico. I went to a famous town of Mexico named San Cristobal de las Casas. That is an amazing town of Mexico and The streets are really beautiful. I really enjoy it. Then we went to Mexico D.F. to visited a lot of places. We enjoy the trip together. After that we went to the Ruins of the Sun and the Moon that are need the city. After that we went to the lakes of Montebello. We have a great trip in Mexico.

I went to the buffet!!!!

Today with Christine and Chen we went to the buffet. We really had a good day today at lunch. I ate sushi it was the firts time that I tried but I really like the taste that the sushi had. With Chen we did not know that christine's birthday was today until we so on facebook. In the buffet Chen ate more the 10 pieces of cake she was really hungry. Christine showed me how to ate the sushi. The buffet is a good place to spend with thier friends and family. we ewally enjoyed time there.

Rigoberta Menchu!!!

Rigoberta Menchu is a really important woman in Guatemala. She is the woman who change indians life in Guatemala. For the indians she is a very important person because she fight for the rights of the indians. Menchu is a loyer in Guatemala, and she speaks a lot of languages. She won the Novel Prize because of her dedication to fight for what she believe. Menchu helps a lot of children in Guatemala to be trade as people. Rigorberta Menchu is a woman with big heart. She change the indians opportunity in Guatemala.

Help the poor is a work for all of us!!!!!

We have to care about the other people that need our help. We have to start changing the world with little things that can be important for other people. We can volunteer or donate money to the people. we can also give a smile because we can change the day or the sadness of the people. They need us as we need them. In our hands we have the opportunity to help the world.We can make the different in the world. Help me to change the world!!!!!!!!!....

My mom's birthday!

Today is my mom birthday. In Sunday I was working but in lunch time I was crazy in the mall looking for a gife for my mom. Finially I found a goos present for her, and I put a messege in it that said " Mami I love you, Thank you for be part of my life". After school my dad picked up with my brother and we went to buy a ice cream cake for my mom. It was a great day for all the family because we love my mom very much. She is my best friend. I am happy that God gave her another day with us. Love you Mami....

A lot of relgions around the world...!!!!

Yesterday in class we were talking abour the religions that exist around the world. Everybody has their own belief, but all the religions have somethings in similiar and it is that we all believe in the same God, we have The Holy Bible, and we all have faith. I think that being of different religions doesn't make someone differnet from the other. We love each other and we all know what is the good and the bad things that are happening in the world. We all want to have peace in the world.

The weather is crazy...!

The weather is really crazy. Today it was a lovely day outside. It was a high temperature outside. I enjoyed hot weather but sometimes is horrible that temperature. When is hot aoutside we can do alot of things to spend the time. we can go to the park, and beach. We can have a lot of fun when the temperature is hot. The summer is better then the winter because in the winter you have to stay in your house. In the summer there are a lot of flowers and trees. I love good temperatures.

Trying to change the world!!!!

We can do a lot of things to change the world, but we most beging doing that by changing a lot of things for our personality. Sometimes we need to give a smile when we feel sad to change the day of a person. Our woeld needs a lot of changes needs peace. We do not want more people to get kill because we should love each other. We can start changing the world with little things that can make the different. Love each other like we love ourselves is the best way to change the world!

The first time that I ran for a bus!!!!!

I started working today at 4:00 PM, and I still in training but it is getting more complicated. I am watching a course that will help me to help the people around the store and do a lot of things to make our costumers happy. I was working when I figurated out that was almost 10:30 and the last bus is at 10:40, so I said to my trainer that I had to go or I was going to missed the las bus. She told me that it was ok for me to leaved. I got out at 10:32 and I stared running fast to catch the bus. Finally I got to the bus stop, I think that the bus was watting for me because I was the last one to got in it. I like my work.

I started to work!!!!

My work at JCPenny was good yesterday. I an enjoying my training. I have a great trainer and I have a lot of fun with her. Yestarday I closed the store and there are a lot of things to do in there after closing the store. I felt tired but I can to sleep. Today I am working in the afternoon to close the store. I think that I am having a good vacations. My brother went to the City yesterday with my cousin. He wento to the Natural Museum and to the Art Museum. He told me that he had a good time yesterday. I think that everybody is enjoying vacations!

My vacations!!!

I am enjoying my vacations, but I really miss school. I started to do my homework and I am studing a lot. The weather is really bad and cold, but I think that in my house I have a lot of things to do. Tomorrow I am going to start to work at Roosevelt Field at JCPenny Store. I am really nervious for that. but I think that everything is going to be fine. This is my first job in the USA. I don't feel ready to start work tomorrow. I wish that everybody is enjoying vacations.

I think that animals are intelligent....

I think that animals are intelligent. They are an important part of the environment as humans are because they help our world to develop in different ways by helping the humans to do all the things that they have to do. It is difficult to discover if the animals have intelligence or they only act by instinct, but I think that animals have intelligence because they obey their owners, they help when people are at risk, and they do things that humans do. That is why I think that animals are intelligent.

Next week, we are not going to have classes and that is great because we can go and have a good time with family and friends. This week i am going to have training because I am going to star working at JCPenny next weekend. I will go out with my brother and my cousin to the city, and we will go to some museums. Guys do your homework and have a good time with your families. This semester is almost gone and we have to prepare for the placement test. Have a nice week off....!!!!

New Session!!!!

Today, we started the second session at The LINCC Program. I think that we are going to enjoy this session with Christina. We have to work hard because the placement test is coming and we all want to continue at NCC for the next semester. I think that we have to do some extra work if we want to pass the placement test. We have to read, watch TV in English, talk in English as much as we can, go to the writing workshop and the writing center too for some help. It is only eight weeks left and We have to do the best to improve our English. Good luck everybody for this new session!!!!!!

Barby your are a great teacher!!!

Barby we are going to miss you. You help us a lot to improve english and I am thankful for that. I enjoy the fist half of the semester and I can belive how fast is the year going we are almost at the end of March. Thank you for all your help and I think that you are going to enjoy that next half of the semester with the other class. Thank you for been a grat techer!!!!!

What a bad weather!!!!

During this weekend it's going to be raining and that make me feel depress because I don't have nothing to do. Today I went to church and I saw a tree felling down to a car that was so bad. I think I can read a book to feel better in my house. I hope everybody is having a great weekend. Barby I hope that your dauther is better and I hope see you tomorrow at school because we missed you on friday.

Why we get old????

I feel really bad that I am growing I want to be more younger. My mon always tell me that during life we learn a lot of things and that meke us feel older. Our experiences make un grow as a person and give us a lot of knowledges. I am scare of getting older but I think that life is like that! I hope everubody is enjoying the last days with Barby like I am enjoy it.

19 chindren in a family!!!!ohhhhh no!!!!!!

Today I read an article about the Duggar family, I was so impress of that article because they have 19 chindren in their family. I read that Msr. Duggar was drinking some pills but she talked to a doctor and he told her that the pills was not good to control pregnancies. They decided to let God give all the children that they can afford! I am really impress of that becuase I only plan to have 2 chindren when I get married. Big families are always good!...

Friendships!!!!

I think that friendship is really important in everybody's life, because we need friends to do a lot of things. Friends are important for me and I think that I have a lot of friends in school now. We are like family and we are enjoying the LINCC Program very much with Barby. I will miss Barby because she is going to moved to the other class in three weeks, but now I will enjoy the time that she is staying with us! Today I took a picture!!!!!

No School!!!!

I am really sad that we did not have school today. But I think that I am going to enjoy my day off because today is my uncle's birthday and we are going to make a dinner for him with my mom. I miss school today!!!! Enjoy your weekend and your day off.... See you all on monday...

First week after long vacations!!!!!

It is great to coming back to school. I feel better doing things to improve my english. I allready finish a book in vacations. The book that i read was Storm Catcher, it was a grear suspens book. This book was written by Tim Bowlwe. Know I stared to read a new book is from the same author and the named of the book is Blade, is a terror book. That is the kind of book that I like! I hope everybody is enjoying your reading and improving your english skills!

One week off!!!!!

During my week off I did a lot of things with my family. I did my homework and I am reading the book, "That is great for me" I almost finish the book. I really missed my clasemates but I am going to go on monday to the writting workshop, I have a lot of questions... I can wait for go back to school.....

My family!

My family is really special for me, becuase their are beeing with me since I was a baby. I lived a long time with my grandmother, grandfather and my cousins. My favorite causin is Elda Cristina we have the same firt name, she get married last year and I was so sad for that, I love her so much because she is the sister that i never had and we did a lot of things togheter, she was allways there when I needed to talk with somebody. She helped me a lot. She is a doctor now and a funny thing of her is that her b-day is on December 31st. Know I am staring a new life in USA with my dad and my mon. I was not with them when I was a child I think that was one of the most complicated obstacle that I had, but know I know that we are happy beeing togheter is difficult but we are overcoming that obsticle. I miss my family from Guatemala but now I am really happy beeing with my mom, my dad and my brother. I love my family a lot and I enjoy everyday that God gave me with my family.

Someone that I admire!

When I was in meddle School I heared a story about Tonny Melendez. Melendez is from Nicaragua and i admire him because he was born without arms and his life was difficult for him. He has to realize that he was not normal, he was different from the other children.
When he was older he learned to play the guitar with his toes. He had a good experience in 1987 he played the guitar in front of Pope John paul II and the Pope told him "Continue giving hope to all the world". Melendez is a model bucause hi is showing us that everuthing that be wish we can do it. We have to trust in ourslefs. I wish to all my classmates to make their dreams come truth. Enjoy the day off.

Is really going to snow?

I saw on weather news that is going to snow this weekend. I like to see the snow falling, because I like to go out and feel the snow in my face. I really like wintter. my mon and my dad don't like the wintter they prefer the spring because the weather is better during spring. This is a picture that I took last Christmas. Today is my brother's birthday. He is now 17 years old. My family and me gave him alot of presents and we have a great dinner at night. My brother and me borned in the same month, because his birthday is in February 02 and my birthday is in february 15. I think this is a difficult months for my parents because they have to buy alot of presents. I hope Julio had fun on his brithday. "Happy Birthday Julio".

My first week at school!!!!

This week was my first at school. It was a really great week for me, because I learn different words that I can apply in my daily speaking. This week I learn more about my classmates, because we have an interesting activity, this activity was to bring three important iteams to the class and talked about it and said: why are those iteams important for us?. We enjoy our presentation and learn that life is not being easy for all of us, but it was a reallly good way to get claser to our classmates. I enjoy this week!

My First day of School....

Today was my first day at LINCC Program at Nassau Community College, it was really great because I met my Profesor and my classmates who are really nice people. In my class there are people for all around the worl and all have different cultures, spoken language and costumes. I think this semester is going to be good for my because I want to lear more about writting, speaking and listening english. I Wish all my classmates good luck and this semester and have fun on it!
